Methods The subject was given the trazodone-fluoxetine combination to treat depression and insomnia
After he began slurring his speech and having speech blocking, the medicines were discontinued
Results The speech slurring and speech blocking stopped once the trazodone-fluoxetine combination was discontinued

Possible drug effects should be considered as causes for speech deficits
