Methods Four subtests from the Neurosensory  Center Comprehensive Examination for Aphasia (NCCEA) administered including Virtual Naming, Sentence Repetition, Word Fluency, and Token Test
Functional Communication Profile (FCP) administered for aphasic patients
Results Replicated 3 diagnostic categories: aphasia (28%), dysarthria with "subclinical" aphasia disorder (32%), "subclinical" aphasia disorder (40%)
TBI severe enough to produce coma results in some form of verbal impairment persisting at least up to 1 year in all patients
