IntelliTalk works
the same as most Apple word processors. Simply type, and the words
appear on the screen. Use arrow keys to move through the text; use
the delete key to delete the previous character. It offers two font
sizes on the screen, but will only print in the smaller font size.

- Read- For reading previously entered text.
Previously
written words can be read by selecting current Word; current Sentence,
current Paragraph, or All.
- Delete- For quickly deleting sections of text. Select current
Word;
current Sentence, current Paragraph, or All.
- Speech- For speech while typing.
You can vary
the way text can be read by choosing one of the following: No speech;
Say letters; Say words; Say sentences; Say words and sentences; or Say
sentences, words and letters, letters, words, or sentences.
Editing Pronunciations
Mispronounced
words can be corrected by adding words to the Exception Table. Intellitalk
will use this new pronunciation each time the word is correctly spelled
in the document. To do this, press
- E. Then select YES. Go to the end of the list and type in
a word with its correct spelling. Then type a period. Finally,
type in a phonetic selling that will pronounce the word correctly.
Use the command
- RW to read the word back to you. When finished, type
- E and select Save.
