ESC = Main Menu

To edit a page or make a page:

1.  Press ESC
2.  Select Pages
3.  Select the desired page or "New Page" from the page window in the top left corner of the screen.
4.  Select the number of rows and collumns desired by arrowing in the "rows" and "cols" windows in the bottom left corner of the screen.
5.  Chose the desired symbol for the square in the "symbols" box on the right side of the screen.  The listing is alphabetical.  If you click on one of the listed symbols and then type the first letter of the desired symbol, the symbol dictionary will jump to that letter.  Click on the desired symbol name in the listing.
6.  Click on the symbol pictured in the "symbol" box and drag it to the desired square.
7.  Continue steps five and six until all symbols are placed.

To edit a symbol:

WHEN EDITING SYMBOLS, CHANGES ARE SAVED AUTOMATICALLY AND PERMANENTLY. 
*If you want two symbols to say or do two different things then there must be two copies of the symbol in the dictionary.  To do this select "copy" in the symbols box.  Then type in a name for the symbol, hit  return, then "ok" and "yes" in the following questions.

1.  Press ESC
2.  You may edit symbols through Pages or Symbols.  If you are in Pages, hold the "Ctrl" key and click the mouse on the desired symbol to be edited.  This will automatically pop you into the Symbol menu.  If you are in Symbols, you may select a symbol from the alphabetical listing on the left side of the screen.  If you click on one of the listed symbols and then type the first letter of the desired symbol, the symbol dictionary will jump to that letter.  Click on the desired symbol name in the listing.
3.  The Label box on the top left of the screen allows you to modify the label (the text which appears above the symbol).  You may change the words which appear, the text size, and color.
4.  The Action box in the lower left of the screen allows you to modify what the device will say or do when activated. 

 A.  Speech Message = what the device will say when the symbol is activated.
 B.  Auditory Prompt = what the auditory prompt will be if using auditory scanning.
 C.  Change Page = select the page that should be linked to when the symbol is activated.
