AAC for ICU
This page contains downloadable basic and complex communication boards for use in intensive care units that were developed in 2020 by University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduate student Lauryl McClintick in collaboration with Bryan Health, and under the advising of Dr. Kristy Weissling. These were created with input from professionals in occupational therapy, speech therapy and nursing.

The interactive graphic shared on this post includes several free downloadable resources that can be used to support AAC learners. Access includes visual schedules for handwashing, social narratives, videos, educational materials, and more. This is an evolving resource that will continue to be updated.
